Other possible factors are the type of images you are working with, the pixel size of the images, the amount of masking and/or cloning being applied, the amount of noise reduction and exactly what tools are being used. There are many things that can affect this, the more obvious are the capability of the PC, the overall size of your collection and where it is stored, the size of your database and where it is stored, and its condition.
